Fun applications of elementary math skills

The book is organized into chapters, with every chapter presenting a sort of downside and therefore the ways in which to admit that downside. These tests are HARD!

I've been tutoring children for the SAT-II Math-II check (among alternative things) and have used the school Board's book for Math-II (only two tests), Princeton Review's book (easy - solely two tests) Barron's Math-I (harder and sensible prep with review however solely three tests), Barron's Math-II (even more durable however sensible review and seven tests), and Dr. Chung's here. The Quants, a book with no math

The subtitle begins, misleadingly, with the word, "how." there's no "how" within the book. it's a beach scan, an journey story choked with noir language, however short on words like nonlinear, leptokurtic, nonparametric, adaptive. i believe he uses the term "standard deviation" once.

A handsome math dictionary!!??

Something should be wrong with me--thanks to the current book, i'm an artist who is somehow enjoying browsing through a dictionary concerning MATH concepts!

I bought this book to assist my fourth grade son who is incredibly visual. There are not as several illustrations as i might hoped, however i suppose you'll be able to solely do most visually with math! we tend to received the book yesterday, and cited it three times throughout the course of his homework that afternoon. though terribly temporary, the ideas we would have liked were clearly explained. there's plenty of data within that seems to travel approach beyond fourth grade, therefore I imagine that the book are useful for a few time to come back.

I keep in mind looking out frantically for the definition of "array" earlier this year. it's not during this book, nor are Roman Numerals. however i am still glad that I got the book as a result of currently math appearance alittle additional fascinating to my thereforen as a result of it's presented so colorfully. i feel this has helped his perspective toward math alittle.
